Who can do Iyengar Yoga?

Iyengar Yoga is a well rounded, complete approach to the study of yoga, which is appropriate for all people of all ages, shapes, and abilities. One does not need to be flexible or fit to begin learning yoga. The Iyengar Yoga teacher sometimes incorporates props (belts, blocks, blankets, etc) into the class. These props help the student attain poses, safely, which otherwise would be unattainable. Yoga is for everyone but not everyone is suitable for every class. It is important to find the level that suits you best. If you are new to yoga, or new to the Iyengar method of teaching, start with the Beginner or Level 1 classes.
